It depends. When there's a clear agenda and it ends on time, I actually enjoy them. What I can't stand is meetings that drag on with no decision.
회의마다 달라요. 안건이 명확하고 제시간에 끝나면 오히려 좋아해요. 못 견디는 건 결정도 없이 질질 늘어지는 회의죠.
Q2. How often do you have business meetings at work?
Almost every day, honestly. We have a short team stand-up every morning, plus two or three longer meetings a week with other departments.
솔직히 거의 매일요. 매일 아침 짧은 팀 스탠드업이 있고, 다른 부서와 하는 긴 회의가 주 2~3회 더 있어요.
Q3. When do you have Zoom meetings?
Mostly with our overseas partners — usually early morning or late afternoon because of the time difference. Internal meetings are face-to-face.
주로 해외 파트너와 할 때요. 시차 때문에 보통 이른 아침이나 늦은 오후에 해요. 내부 회의는 대면으로 하고요.
Q4. Do you speak a lot at meetings, or are you usually quiet?
Somewhere in between. I don't talk just to talk, but when it's my area, I keep it short and to the point. People seem to appreciate that.
중간쯤이에요. 말을 위한 말은 안 하지만, 제 분야가 나오면 짧고 요점만 말해요. 다들 그걸 좋아하는 것 같아요.
Q5. Is it possible to build a good relationship with a business partner without meeting face-to-face?
Possible, but harder. You can build rapport over video calls with consistency and honesty. Still, one dinner together does the work of ten Zoom calls.
가능하지만 더 어렵죠. 꾸준함과 솔직함이 있으면 화상으로도 신뢰를 쌓을 수 있어요. 그래도 같이 하는 저녁 한 번이 줌 열 번 몫을 하죠.
