Yes, we take a speaking test once a year. It's mandatory for anyone who wants a promotion, so everyone gets serious about English every spring.
네, 일 년에 한 번 말하기 시험을 봐요. 승진하려는 사람에겐 필수라서, 봄만 되면 다들 영어에 진지해져요.

Oh yes. I once told a client I was 'boring' when I meant I was 'bored'. He laughed so hard. I never mix up those two words anymore — best lesson ever.
물론이죠. 한번은 고객에게 'bored(지루한)'라고 해야 하는데 'boring(지루하게 하는 사람)'이라고 했어요. 그분이 엄청 웃으셨죠. 그 뒤로 그 두 단어는 절대 안 헷갈려요. 최고의 수업이었어요.
